Halloween Up Yours

My totally ass kicking pumpkin (that only needs minor tweaking to get the small bits to show better). I'll post some in progress shots later. Anyway, it's Hellboy vs. The Baba Yaga and it rocks. I'm hoping to have enough time to go a death star pumpkin and a good ol' fashioned scary jack-o-lantern.

Digital Painting - Book Cover Assignment - WIP

This assignment was to do a book cover using the techniques learned in class so far. Here is my sketch for "The Mists of Avalon."



Here is my work on progress. I am no where near done, but it's a good start for the evening.

WIP Scratch Board to Digital Painting

So here is my base scratch board design for my digital painting homework of something in our neighborhood. This is the Gingerbread House. I think it came out well.

Class Work

Digital Painting 1st Assignment. Drawing based off a picture of Zooey Deschanel (because my normal reference model has a boyfriend now and is never home). The assignment is to practice laying in flat color under a line drawing and coloring the line. I couldn't get the color the line thing to work, maybe because of the pencil shading or maybe because it wasn't dark enough, I don't know. So here's to the learning process, cheers! It may look a little yellow on some computers, it's just how they are lit.

WIP

Here's something i started on cause I was bored. It's pretty much a sight copy of Emma Watson in Parade magazine with some subtle changes to her face and obviously hair. I'm thinking of making this a Midsummer Night's Dream scene or something to that effect.
