I Have A Computer Pixie Problem

So I was going to finish this drawing tonight but it looks like my scanner is being obstinate and/or was taken over by pixies (because we all know how you spell trouble P I X I E). Anyway, here is what I have so far. My scanner decided that it knew what I wanted better than I did so it cropped the image weird. It looks good but it's not what I wanted. Anyway hopefully later it wont be so cranky.

I wanted to draw something that looked underwaterish. It's Cate Blanchett. It's just a messing around sketch that I wanted to refine but I wanted to make sure I had a copy of it in this stage just is case I royally fuck it up. So let's hope my pixie problem goes away by morning.

Cause I Can Sketch Dump Extravaganza Part Whatever

So the time of the great sketch dump commences... though really I'm just going through to find the best ones because a job I'm applying for is asking for a very varied portfolio.

First we have a nice nude model sketch, I like drawing butts and backs... and nuns strangely...

Keria Knightly reading the paper, I think this was an assignment of some sort. Can't remember, but Chang liked it.

Woot more nudes. I liked the curve of her back, it was weird and fun to draw... the portfolio requirements ask for this sort of thing so this is what they shall get I suppose.

Don't remember why I drew this, I just like it.

I drew these in a boring panel at Comic Con that I really couldn't leave... random stuffs.

I drew this for an assignment as well, but I can't remember why.

Well that's it for now. I have more to go through. Nuns are involved.

Trudging Along

Still working, I've gotten into a little funk, but I'm still trudging along. I hope to finish it before the weekend is over. And a note to self, working bigger than 15 inches is a silly idea.

Terrible Work In Progress Shots

An update on my work in progress. I just got back from a fun weekend in Philly so I didn't get a chance to work on it very much. I got a fair bit of work done tonight. My camera, however, decided that it hates me and didn't want to take a decent picture so this is what we're stuck with. I think sometime this week I'll head to Pratt to use the big scanners. Hopefully I'll be done by then. Woot.

New Scratch Board Work In Progress

I started a new scratch board. Along the lines of "if I did a cover or something of that nature what would it look like." So I picked The Good Fairies of New York by Martin Millar as my inspiration and subject matter. The idea is the two fairies are busking in the park. First I've got two close ups and then a slightly less close up, the finished proportion will be about 18 x 24 unless I cut the margins. Hopefully this will be one of many pieces I can put up in the Luna Con art show. Thanks to Darrell for being my last minute reference model.

DONE, Finally

This thing seriously took forever, but I think I'm done and I think I like it. I'll have to live with it for a few days to really know for sure if this was a major fail or win. Whatever. Comic Con tomorrow and I need to get to sleep.

Still Going... Work From Last Night

I'm kind of terrified to start the space ship, I feel this might be the most difficult part...

I'm Trudging Along...

Gah! I'm taking way longer than I wanted to on this but here's more work in progress on my random I'm bored art...
